Lesson Planning in an Introduction to Special Education Classroom

Since the start of the semester, I have shared with my students that AI is a tool that will benefit both them and their students. AI cannot do the work for them, but it should not be ignored as a support. With that said, it is my job to model for them how to use tools, like AI, responsibly and in a manner that will support them in their future classroom jobs.

In the webinar on December 7th, Unlocking Potential: A Collaborative Roadmap to Technology Integration in Special Education, panelists from five institutions of CIDDL Tech Alliance gathered to discuss the progress of their TIP. The panelists consist of faculties at California State University, Chico, Indiana State University, University of Central Missouri, University of Hawaii at Manoa, and University of Maine, Orono. Each school discussed the overview of their institution and special education program, goals and rationale, and the action plan.
